Here are some easy steps to get into the flow of God’s great good:
1. Get clear about what you want and don’t feel guilty about it.
It’s important to get clear about what we want. We need to be able to imagine it in our mind – to be able to see it, hear it, feel it and smell it. You and I wouldn’t sign on to amazon and say send me just anything – we would know exactly which item we wanted (including size, model, color, and quantity).
Ernest Homes wrote “Consciousness must be conscious of something.” (Science of Mind textbook p 374)
When we have a clear desire for something we should acknowledge that if we want it, we want it. The word “desire” literally means ‘of the father’, so something we desire is holy.
Charles Fillmore, co-founder of Unity wrote “Desire is the onward impulse of the ever-evolving soul.”
2. Write your desires and goals down.
Make a list of everything you want to have, do and be in every area of your life. That includes spiritual growth, love and friendship, career, family, personal growth/education, health and wellbeing, fun and play, and finances/investments.
Make a story board, or treasure map. Collect pictures that represent your goals and paste onto a poster board or in a journal these pictures. Add a picture of yourself into the mix and an affirmation.
3. Ask and be open to the answer.
In your prayer time, ask how I must change, what must I learn, what must I unlearn, what must I do, what must I do in order for this to manifest. And be willing to hear what Spirit say. If you find yourself waiting for something to happen, again ask “Is there anything I could or should do?” When we get an answer, we should follow through.
4. Move out of our comfort zone.
Setting our goals is a great accomplishment but we have to actually take practical steps toward them. This can be scary. We can’t let fear hold us back.
I loved the story that someone shared this morning. They had a goal for adventure and travel. One of their desires was to fly to an island and spend the day. It didn’t seem practical, and people said the desire was foolish, but the bold step was to book a flight and make a plan. The Universe cooperated because their bank account received a wire transfer for the exact amount they needed for the flight and the day on the island. They don’t know where the wire transfer is from, but it affirms that the Universe has many channels and sometimes our good comes to us in strange, mysterious and unknown ways.
Affirmations:
I get definite about my good, so that my good gets definite about me. Vast improvements come quickly in every phase of my life now. Every day and in every way, things are getting better and better for me now. Today and every day, I except the best. Wonderful things are happening to me now. Everything I do turns into good for myself and others. I am open and receptive to the vast good the Universe has for me now. I am appropriately and richly clothed, housed, transported and supplied with the rich substance of the Universe. I am receiving all the Universe has for me now. Every day and in every way, things are getting better and better for me now. I give thanks for a quick and substantial increase in my good now. Good comes easily to me. Big, happy surprises and rich appropriate gifts now come to me, under Grace, for my personal use, and I use them wisely. Today, I live in and AS the flow of God’s Great Good. And so it is, thank you God. Amen.
